Frequently Asked Questions

I'd like to remove the 'design by ruining' link. Can I do this?

If you would like to remove the 'design by ruining' link from the footer of a template or website, then you have my permission to do this providing you make a small donation. I don't have a set amount, just what ever you think the template/website is worth. You must also contact me with the URL of the site that will not be displaying the 'design by ruining' link. This is to ensure that I do not contact you in the future asking you why you have removed the 'design by ruining' link.

What are your website designs written in?

All of my website designs are written entirely in XHTML 1.0 and CSS. No tables are used for the layout or styling in any of the website designs. This combination of XHTML and CSS ensures that the websites are forward compatible, quick loading and easily customisable. Relative font sizes have been used to help aid accessibility and all of the designs can be validated as XHTML 1.0 Strict or Transitional, and CSS.

Are your websites compliant across different browsers?

Yes. All of the websites are compliant across the two most popular browsers, IE6 and Mozilla Firefox.

Are they compliant across different screen resolutions?

Yes. the websites are best viewed in 1280 x 1024 resolution but can all be viewed in higher or lower resolutions without compromising functionality or design.

If I download a template do I need to know how to write HTML?

If you download a website template then you will need to know just enough html so that you can edit the template html file(s) and insert your own web content. If you do not know any html or do not want to edit the template file(s) yourself, then I will be happy to build your website for you, using one of the templates. Please contact me for more details. You must realize though, that I cannot add content for every person, as I have other things to do at times.

Can I modify or customize the template?

Yes. You can modify and customize the template as much as you want, but you must keep the 'design by ruining' link in the footer of the template.

I am unsure of something, can you help?

Whatever you need, whether it is something in the template, or you are just working on a website project of your own, I will help when I can, just send me an Email, using the contact page of the website, and I will get back as soon as I can.
